Hey there, friends!

This summer, we did something a little crazy—at least by our family's standards. We embarked on our biggest family adventure ever: 23 days, 3 countries, 2 continents, 3 children, and countless unforgettable memories. Looking back, I’m still in awe of how we pulled it off.

The Journey Begins

There were airplanes, rental cars, tourist buses, boats, and more suitcases than I care to remember. We explored bustling capitals and peaceful seaside towns. We stayed in luxurious resorts and charming rental cottages. Picture this: ocean breezes, mountain villages hidden among winding roads, endless beaches, ancient palaces, majestic monuments, beach caves, bustling markets, historic neighborhoods, and evenings spent dancing under the stars.

At various points, there were also two parents who inconveniently decided to get sick on different days—thankfully, not at the same time! Traveling with children truly tests every ounce of your patience, flexibility, and organizational skills. Plans change, unexpected situations arise, and sometimes, the most memorable moments happen when things don’t go according to plan. Yet, those are often the stories we treasure most.

A Bit of Everything

This adventure took us across two continents, through bustling capitals, hidden villages, breathtaking coastlines, and landscapes unlike anything we had experienced before. Honestly? It had a little bit of everything: the good, the challenging, the magical, the hilarious, and, of course, the lessons learned along the way.

What's Coming Next?

Over the next several weeks, I’ll take you behind the scenes of this unforgettable adventure, one destination at a time. Along the way, I’ll share:

  • Family travel tips that genuinely helped us

  • Honest hotel and accommodation reviews

  • Family-friendly restaurants worth visiting

  • Destination highlights and hidden gems

  • What worked well when traveling with three children

  • The mistakes we made and what we’d do differently

  • Practical advice for parents planning similar trips

  • Memorable moments, both expected and unexpected

More than anything, this series will be about the reality of family travel. Not the perfectly curated social media version. The real one. The one filled with missed turns, tired children, overpacked suitcases, last-minute surprises, moments of frustration, moments of wonder, and memories that stay with you long after you’ve unpacked. Because family travel isn’t always easy. But in our experience, it is almost always worth it!

Whether You're Planning a Trip or Simply Dreaming of One...

I hope this series helps you. Perhaps it will inspire your next adventure. Maybe it will save you from making some of the mistakes we made. Or perhaps it will simply allow you to travel through our stories from the comfort of your favorite chair. Either way, I’m excited to take you along! (And just in case anyone is wondering: the Air Transat wing in today’s photo is purely coincidental and not sponsored content. 😊)

Our First Destination Awaits

Our first destination will be revealed next week... Stay tuned. The journey is just beginning!

Love, Katerina
